Career resources

Everything here is free and built around the roles we actually place. Whether you’re writing your first CV, prepping for an interview, or working out how temp pay really works, it’s straightforward, no-jargon advice from the team who put people into these jobs every day.

Tap any topic below to open it — then register with us when you’re ready.

  • Keep it to one or two pages — clear and easy to scan.
  • Put your most recent job first: job title, employer and dates.
  • List your tickets and licences up front — FLT/forklift, ADR, HGV Class 1 or 2, CSCS, first aid.
  • Include your availability and right-to-work status.
  • Add contactable references where you can.

No CV, or not sure where to start? Register with us and we’ll help you put one together.

  • Do a bit of homework on the company and the role.
  • Bring photo ID, your right-to-work documents and any licences or tickets.
  • Arrive about 10 minutes early and dress right for the site.
  • Be ready to talk about shift patterns and when you can start.
  • Ask a couple of questions — it shows you’re keen.
  • Let your consultant know how it went afterwards.

You’ll need to prove your right to work in the UK before your first shift. Getting it ready early means nothing holds up your start.

  • A UK or Irish passport, or
  • A share code (if you’re on a visa), or
  • Your birth certificate plus proof of your National Insurance number.

Bring originals, not photocopies. Not sure what counts? Just ask your consultant.

  • Flexible shifts — days, nights and weekends to suit you.
  • Weekly PAYE pay, with holiday pay built up as you work.
  • The same core rights as permanent staff — breaks, holiday and more.
  • A genuine route into permanent work — lots of our temps go perm.
  • Your consultant is your point of contact for shifts, pay and support.
