- Winner Recruitment is currently recruiting for Assembly Operatives to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business based in Wombwell, Barnsley.
- This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or engineering environments. Full training and development opportunities are available for the right person.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling finished products and machinery components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
The Role
- Carry out assembly operations to meet quality and production standards
- Assemble finished machines, components, and mechanical systems
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Work from engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Fit and align components accurately
- Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Maintain accurate production records
- Keep the working area clean and organised
- Follow all health & safety procedures
- Support continuous improvement activities
Candidate Requirements
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, or engineering experience desirable
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality focus
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- FLT licence (training available)
- Engineering assembly experience
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
Package
- Starting rate from £12.71 per hour
- Pay progression available based on skills and experience
- Permanent position
- Monday-Friday rotating shifts (Days / Afters)
