The Opportunity
- Our client is a well-established Property Services and Maintenance provider, delivering a range of planned, reactive and maintenance services across the Midlands.
- Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to help drive new business, develop existing relationships and identify opportunities within the social housing, property services and commercial sectors.
- This role would suit an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in social housing, property maintenance, repairs & maintenance, facilities management, construction or building services who understands the requirements of housing associations, local authorities and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across property services, repairs & maintenance and facilities management
- Focus on opportunities within the social housing sector, including housing associations, local authorities and registered providers
- Develop additional opportunities across the commercial property and facilities management sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, procurement teams and key stakeholders
- Identify upcoming tenders, frameworks and contract opportunities
- Lead and support the preparation of PQQs, tenders, bids and proposals
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Research market activity, competitor performance and emerging opportunities
- Attend client meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions to generate new leads
- Work closely with commercial, operational and mobilisation teams to develop proposals and growth strategies
- Maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities and provide regular sales forecasts and updates
- Develop long-term relationships with existing clients to identify further contract opportunities
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to senior management on customer requirements and market trends
- Support the business in expanding its presence across key UK regions
Candidate Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a proven background in business development within property services, social housing, repairs & maintenance, construction or facilities management.
You will ideally have
- Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales or Account Management position
- Experience winning work within the social housing/property services sector
- Good knowledge of planned and/or reactive maintenance, repairs and property services
- Experience working with housing associations, local authorities, FM providers or commercial property clients
- Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Strong understanding of tenders, frameworks and procurement processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of margins, revenue and contract value
- A proactive, target-driven approach with the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
