Apply for this role ↓Winner Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Sheffield.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience in precision CNC milling, producing high-quality components to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and adjust CNC milling machines.
- Machine components in accordance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, tooling and machining parameters.
- Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T requirements.
- Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
- Monitor machining cycles and make adjustments where necessary.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and housekeeping.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC milling.
- Competent in setting and operating CNC milling machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of machining tolerances and surface finishes.
- Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain.
- Experience working within a precision engineering environment.
- Previous experience within heavy engineering, large component machining or precision manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
