Winner Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to join a busy transport operation on behalf of one of our prestigious clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in transport and logistics who has strong organisational skills and the ability to lead and coordinate a busy dispatch operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day dispatch operation.
- Coordinating Class 1 (HGV) drivers and ensuring efficient vehicle allocation.
- Managing vehicle movements, departure times and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring all drivers have the correct paperwork and instructions.
- Monitoring transport operations to ensure deadlines and schedules are met.
- Communicating effectively with drivers, transport planners and management.
- Resolving any dispatch issues or delays in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all transport and health & safety procedures are followed.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a transport or dispatch supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of Class 1 (HGV) transport operations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transport environment.
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage and motivate drivers.
