- Winner Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated (RNLD) to support pupils within a specialist school setting in the B90 area with counselling, hoisting, interventions and support work.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs, promoting their health, wellbeing and independence in an educational environment.
The Role
- As an RNLD, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with learning disabilities and complex needs, working collaboratively with teaching staff, support teams and other professionals to ensure each pupil receives high-quality, individualised care.
Key responsibilities include
- Providing nursing care tailored to pupils' individual health needs.
- Supporting pupils with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Administering medication and maintaining accurate health records, in line with relevant policies.
- Monitoring pupils' health and wellbeing and responding appropriately to changing needs.
- Working closely with teachers, support staff, families and other healthcare professionals.
- Promoting dignity, independence, safety and positive outcomes for every pupil.
The Ideal Candidate
- Registered Nurse with an active NMC registration in Learning Disabilities Nursing (RNLD).
- Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities or complex needs is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting vulnerable pupils.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
