Apply for this role ↓Winner Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Shot Blaster to join an established industrial manufacturing business based in Halifax.
This is a hands-on role involving the manual blasting of a wide variety of metal components, from smaller valve sets through to large industrial structures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out manual abrasive blasting on a variety of metal components.
- Operating and understanding blast pots and associated blasting equipment.
- Preparing surfaces to the required specifications.
- Working carefully around masked areas to avoid damaging protected surfaces.
- Ensuring components are correctly prepared for subsequent finishing processes.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous manual shot blasting experience is essential.
- Experience must be in manual blasting rather than cabinet blasting.
- Good understanding of blast pots and blasting equipment.
- Ability to work carefully around masked areas.
- FLT and overhead crane certificates would be beneficial but are not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 06:00–14:30
- Friday: 06:00–13:00 39 hours per week.
- Overtime may be required during busy periods, including Saturday mornings, paid at time and a half (1.5).
