Our client, a well-established recycling and metals business based in Barnsley, is looking to recruit a Metal Sorter to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and previous experience within the scrap metal or recycling industry. The role would suit someone technical minded that has a methodical approach to their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals accurately.
- Identify different grades and types of metals.
- Ensure materials are processed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Work as part of a busy yard team to meet daily operational targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a metal sorting or similar recycling environment.
- Good knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- A commitment to health and safety standards.
