Apply for this role ↓We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a well-established property maintenance company, carrying out planned and reactive repairs across military family housing in Wyton, Henlow and along the A1 corridor.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber with experience in domestic maintenance or social housing to join a long-term contract, helping ensure properties remain safe, functional and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and minor installations.
- Diagnose faults and complete effective, timely repairs.
- Repair and replace taps, sinks, toilets, pipework and associated fittings.
- Undertake planned, reactive and emergency maintenance works.
- Complete plumbing and repair works in void properties to prepare homes for re-let.
- Support with general property maintenance duties where required.
- Use PDA/mobile technology to update job records and work orders.
- Ensure all work meets health and safety, quality and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Plumber within domestic maintenance, property repairs or social housing.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fault-finding and repair techniques.
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing, or equivalent, is desirable.
- Experience working in occupied and void properties.
- Confident using a PDA or mobile technology.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Existing DBS and security clearance, or willingness to undertake the necessary checks.
- Right to work in the UK.
