Sen Teaching Assistant
Apply for this role ↓Winner Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Rugby area on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant NVQ qualification and have experience working within a primary school setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, patient and committed Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
- Support pupils with their learning, development and emotional wellbeing
- Assist pupils with a range of additional needs where required
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff to support pupil progress
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils' confidence and independence
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
- Support pupils with SEND and adapt activities to meet individual needs
- Contribute to safeguarding and the wider welfare of pupils
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- A relevant NVQ qualification
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, nurturing and supportive approach
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and development of children
