Van Driver
Apply for this role ↓Winner Recruitment are currently looking for a Waste Oil Collector / Van Driver to join a well-established business in Bridlington.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right person.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for driving a company van to customer premises, collecting waste oil and transporting it back to site.
- The role is hands-on and physically demanding, so you’ll need to be comfortable with manual lifting and working in environments where you may get dirty.
Your duties will include
- Driving a company van to customer premises across the local area
- Collecting waste oil drums, some weighing up to 55kg when full
- Using a sack truck to move drums from customer premises to the van
- Manually lifting drums into the van
- Completing waste transfer notes and customer receipts
- Handling cash when collecting waste oil
- Assessing the quantity of oil in each drum and calculating the appropriate payment to customers
- Completing paperwork accurately
- Completing a weekly wash-down and clean of the van
- Working safely and professionally at all times
We’re looking for someone who
- Holds a full UK driving licence
- Is physically fit and comfortable with heavy manual handling
- Is confident dealing with customers face-to-face
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Is comfortable handling cash and completing paperwork
- Doesn't mind getting their hands dirty
- Can work independently and manage their own daily workload
- This is a physical role. Some waste oil drums can weigh up to 55kg, so applicants must be physically capable of lifting these into the van.
What’s on Offer?
- £13.25 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm 40 hours per week 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Company van provided
- Temporary-to-permanent opportunity
